The market towns (Leek, Cheadle and Biddulph) house 54% of the district's population but are expected to accommodate 75% of the housing requirement.
Why is Leek expected to take 30% of the district's housing whereas Biddulph (with an almost identical population) is only taking 20%?
Why are Larger Villages such as Biddulph Moor, Endon, Cheddleton, Ipstones, Waterhouses, Kingsley and Wetley Rocks seeing little or no growth? If they each accommodated 10-20 dwellings The Mount would not be under such pressure for development.
